What Is Bounce (AUCTION)?

Bounce is a web3-focused open network designed to provide a full set of DeFi tools and infrastructure for individuals and institutions to build applications in a trustless way.

Bounce aims to provide a unified platform to cater to the dynamic needs of the different players in the decentralized finance market.

Its core products include Bounce Finance, a decentralized auction platform for over-the-counter (OTC) trading; Metalents, a web3-focused freelance marketplace; an NFT launchpad; and Bounce Metaverse, which is a virtual world to interact.

Bounce will launch Bounce V3 on Feb 20, 2023, a hybrid finance infrastructure that blends centralized and decentralized finance to enhance user experience and increase financial stability.

AUCTION is the utility and governance token built on the Ethereum blockchain to power economic activities on the Bounce network.

Bounce Token Price

AUCTION entered the market in February 2021 at the height of sustained bullish conditions. Upon launch, AUCTION rallied by over 80% within a week where it rose from $22.04 on Feb 20 to hit a high of $41.29 on Feb 25. After this initial rally, the Bounce token price corrected sharply the following week where it slid to a low of $19.28 on Mar 1, 2021.

However, AUCTION regained its bullish momentum in the first week of April 2021 when its price increased two-fold from $32.11 on Apr 4 to its highest price to date of $70.44 on Apr 12. The rally was attributed to the enhanced consumer confidence in Bounce Finance. The price relaxed in the week that followed to a low of $31.31 on Apr 25 but spiked again by over 70% to open May 2021 at $53.77.

AUCTION’s price began to dip for several weeks before it bottomed out at $12.52 toward the end of June 2021. In August, AUCTION’s price recovered and skyrocketed as the NFT hype took over the crypto market. The Bounce token price elevated to $52.63 on Oct 22, 2021, when the bull run of late 2021 was at its height.

As things began to cool down in the market, Bounce token price gradually declined and the drop continued into 2022. AUCTION wasn’t spared from the market slump caused by the de-pegging of UST in May 2022 and its price dumped to its lowest at $3.73.

Bounce didn’t recover much from this drop, although its price pumped slightly in February 2023 leading up to the much-anticipated public launch of Bounce V3 on Feb 20, 2023. AUCTION price rose to $7.20 on Feb 21, before correcting to around $6.15 by early March.

What Is Bounce Token (AUCTION) Used For?

As an ERC-20 token, AUCTION powers all the decentralized applications on the Bounce ecosystem. It’s used for:

• Governance – Bounce is a fully decentralized and community protocol governed exclusively by AUCTION token holders
• Staking – AUCTION can be staked to earn passive rewards
• In-app currency – AUCTION can be used to trade NFTs at the various Bounce marketplaces, hire and pay talent, as well as purchase in-game items in the Bounce Metaverse
• Rewards – AUCTION holders will have premium accounts that unlock extra benefits on Bounce V3

Bounce Token (AUCTION) Tokenomics

The maximum token supply of AUCTION is capped at 10 million with an inflationary type of emission. The total token supply of AUCTION stands at 7,640,627 tokens. AUCTION tokens were allocated as follows:

• 40% - Ecosystem and incentive
• 30% - Foundation
• 20% - Investors
• 10% - Team

Who Is the Founder of Bounce?

Bounce Finance was co-founded by Jack Lu, an investment director at NGC Ventures, and Chandler Song, the co-founder and CEO of Ankr.
